The benefits of the Buy BC program are enormous: choosing BC products at the farm stand or the grocery store supports local producers and growers, supports local economies, and lowers our individual carbon footprint by making food choices that are close to home. The objective of the campaign was to re-introduce British Columbians to the value of ‘buying BC’.
The campaign was rolled out through food magazines, website takeovers, Facebook and Instagram ads, display network ads and pre-roll spots.
The most fun (and hair-raising) part of creating this body of work was the food photography and art direction, and coming up with the scenarios to group BC foods into themed experiences. A big shout out to our Food Photographer and Stylist team – DL Acken and Aureila Louvet – for their tasteful and beautiful work.
This latest campaign for Buy BC has a strong focus on outdoor, digital and pre-roll marketing. The messaging of the campaign is expanded to remind people of the wide variety of BC products, and to provide a call to action to look for the Buy BC logo while food shopping.
